The Awards of Excellence honors volunteers, staff, judges, program directors and others who have exemplified excellence in their efforts to provide best-interest advocacy for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Over 700 supporters united for National CASA/GAL’s third annual Walk Run Thrive event from June 9-12, 2023.

The National CASA/GAL Association for Children is pleased to recognize the Honorable Amanda N. Heath, Judge, Augusta Judicial Circuit/Superior Court, Augusta, Georgia, and member of National CASA/GAL’s Judicial Leadership Council.

“As an advocate, it is empowering to have my voice heard, to bring challenges we may see at our local level and to not only be heard and respected but to see change happening,” Po says.

The volunteers’ perspectives will inform national efforts to recruit, train, engage and retain volunteers, as well as improve the volunteer experience.

CASA/GAL volunteers attend in-depth training and ongoing professional development to ensure they have the tools and resources they need to effectively support the children, youth and families they serve.

In March we celebrate Women’s History Month, and in this month, we honor the pioneering work of the late Carmen Ray-Bettineski.

During Women’s History Month, we recognize the contributions of women who have dedicated their lives to serving their communities and advocating for those in need.

The executive team leads National CASA/GAL’s support to and engagement with our network of 939 state organizations and local programs as well external stakeholders.
