Q5id Guardian will begin to immediately focus on providing financial and other support toward increasing the awareness of National CASA/GAL and expanding efforts to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

The BBRF board approved an initial “learning grant” to provide unrestricted funding to advance the work of National CASA/GAL’s mission, with the possibility of future support.

“What family reunification services tries to do is try to prepare the child and the mother, father, parent, to reconnect and bridge the divide that’s caused by the absence that the prison enforces,” said Miller.

These awards honor volunteers, staff, judges and others who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to provide best-interest advocacy for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

“I hope that through the celebration of this day, people nationwide will have the chance to better understand the critical role a CASA/GAL volunteer plays in the lives of young people,” said National CASA/GAL CEO Tara Lisa Perry.

CASA/GAL supporters are encouraged to make a gift on June 7, as we aim to raise $40,000 to support the continued growth and development of our nationwide network.

National CASA/GAL is also celebrating its 40th anniversary and impact, advocating for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
